Oh jeeze... there's an obvious mindfuck timeloop movie called "Coherence"? Shane Carruth wished that he'd think of that

Now that you say it, it never really occurred to me just how many wonky time loop movies there are. I saw "The Time Machine" in theaters :shifty:

Does Coherence get points in being, y'know, coherent?

It does! And it's really spooky actually in spots, and it's that super naturalistic improv characters overlapping dialogue thing, but also not the shitty version of that which is more common.

I'm super bummed that my vacation has to end. I don't want to work. I just want to walk around, looking for a good coffee shop to charge my phone.

That being said, fuck Newark International and Fuck Virgin Airlines.

We did see Moonlight. It was pretty fucking good, really raw and beautiful. Kind of like Rectify with less talking and more showy cinematography.

Mmmm showy cinematography... y'know, that's something I took points off for in Rectify, I wouldn't call the visuals uninteresting but... I dunno, it was too contemporary and real without having a sense of irony or levity to it. I had that problem with Girls where it's like being in a place which is substantially less interesting than my own deal. It's like when I'm at a party and some drunk person tries to tell me about their blues and I'm like, buddy, walk a mile in these shoes, or, at least tell your story in an (visually) interesting fashion, don't, just, like, point a camera at my living room and complain about how freggin real everything is. I need an escape, dammit, and I'm not shy to the hard stuff just, y'know, teleport me elsewhere

I've been listening to a lot of Wu-Tang recently :shifty:

I jump to an absurd amount of conclusions when it comes to Rectify, and I will... rectify eventually, I swear. Just, maybe in, like... five years?

When my bike has no chain guard I don't even cuff my jeans, I just shove that shit in my sock and when I park I just pull my jeans out out and resume looking like a normal person, besides, I find the cuff might be even more prone to ripping. There is no reason to cuff jeans if you measure yourself. Artificial inseam buffing is a practice which must end!
