Went to an island just an hour away from home. These lovely fellas were hanging around by the shore. Millions of families of sardines just swimming in patterns leaving me in disbelief.

Me getting married with notary:

Everything around me is evaporating. My whole life, my memories, my imagination and its contents, my personality - it's all evaporating. I continuously feel that I was someone else, that I felt something else, that I thought something else. What I'm attending here is a show with another set. And the show I'm attending is myself. Then grab your youthfulness, hold to it, and continue to be Ms. I mean, who really cares other than you or your husband? If you are pleased, then it's up to you.

I was kind of surprised that my wife decided to change her last name to mine when we married, because I had encouraged her to retain her maiden name. But it was her name, and her choice. And she chose. It made her happy to do that, and it didn't make me totally unhappy that she did. This was in 1982, by the way. Many women were keeping their last names.

I'm glad to hear that it isn't de rigueur to change the last name of the bride. Even gladder to hear that it is the style in Quebec to not do that!

Congrats, again.

Four women I know who have been married recently haven't changed their last names. Two don't even wear a ring.
I changed mine to Fist's simply because I'm old fashioned & the prospect of it had me thrilled - but I'm always impressed by those who don't.
