I've fallen down a decent Halsey hole. Which is weird as a 27 year old who mostly hasn't given a shit about music.

Shit, I'm almost 28.

So, I drop $360 getting my teeth savaged by a drill at the dentist. Get in my car, cruise down Sunset Blvd a bit and my acceleration just drops off. Press on the gas, RPM stays at two, stays at 2, stays at two, stays at two, then jerks all the way up to three. Now my car is the shop, the guy basically told me he hasn't looked at it at all today. Meanwhile, after work on Thursday, I have to drive three hours to drop off my cat. Then immediately drive back three hours.

Like me, my cat is horribly scared of strangers and tends to hide and hiss. I'm hoping she might be good with my mom since she kinda knows her.

PS We should find an excuse to meet since we live so close.

8-) Get Out is definitely good as well; Peele needs to put out something like it every February from now on to show all the early year Horror hack directors how it's really done.

Also, I love how one day after Trump gives this supposedly more unifying, presidential speech that the media runs all over itself to praise unnecessarily, his Russian ties come back again to bite him in the ass; just a little over a month in, and this adminstration can barely go one day without messing something up.

Indeed; I liked how the
twist you were expecting, which is that the black people of the neighborhood are merely being brainwashed into being modern slaves, wasn't the way Peele went with the story, but rather, went in that additional, unexpected direction with it. Did NOT see it coming.

Really good yeah, coming up on the 3 year anniversary in a couple weeks, one year anniversary of home ownership in a couple months, it's been great. I work a lot and a lot out if town, but making really good money and it's better than the alternative.

If there's a task that must be done,
Don't turn your tail and run.
Don't pout,
Don't sob,
Just do a half-assed job.
If you cut every corner,
It is really not so bad.
Everybody does it.
Even Mom and Dad.
If nobody sees it,
Then nobody gets mad.
It's the American way.
The policeman on the beat
Needs some time to rest his feet.
Fighting crime is not my cup of tea.
And the clerk who runs the store
Can charge a little more
For meat and milk from 1984!
If you cut every corner,
You'll have more time for play.
It's the American way!

Hah Homer speaks the truth. Of course Lisa's answer is fine but it's rooted in adorable idealism.

Yeah; to cannibalize my review of it for a bit, I liked how, even though it takes place over a decade into the future, there are NO high-tech "X-Men" facilities in sight, but just everyday gas stations, farm houses, and tiny, one horse towns in Middle America. It's great.

That's awesome!

I've been helping run my family's business, it's a lot if work for little pay, but it's rewarding. I also get to meet a lot of new and interesting people. I never would have guessed I'd become a "people person".

We have a bar/music venue. The music venue part of it is the best. You get to meet all sorts of artists from all over the world. In a couple weeks we'll be having a band called Desert Mountain Tribe, from London.

Jeeze

I could either be a musician and spend the rest of my days funneling my angst into chord progressions, loud and angry drum solos, and words in the safe and cozy confines of my room or just open a sweet venue HMMMM
