Yeah we dont see the long term consequences till next movie. "The Incident" is still a big part of NY if you watch the Netflix shows.

Luke Cage did not really mention it as much while Daredevil focused on it a lot.

No, but I do think that Guardians Vol. 1 and Winter Soldier are far better. I have not seen Guardians Vol. 2 and Ant Man yet so I cannot fully rate all of the MCU yet.
Me neither, but out of all the ones I've seen so far, I'd rank 'em as:

Civil War
Guardians
Ultron
Iron Man
Dr. Strange
Avengers (this is the only one I didn't really like at all)

I also watched the 1st half of Iron Man 3, and gave up on it because it just wasn't engaging me anywhere near enough to continue with it.

Haven't seen Vol. 2 yet (I will), but everyone I know who has keeps talking about some reference to
Mary Poppins
in it, and it's got me SO confused...

I will but he hasn't finished giving me a first opinion. He needs a new scanner to read a Hyundai transmission code. All he's got is "the transmission is spitting out a code." Given how it stopped moving at an intersection of Thursday, this could be not good. Or maybe it could be nothing.

Same here. He has been an underrated character actor for years.

And yeah Trump has really done it this time.

Whatever you do, no directors cut. That was a weird movie to grow up with and having that DC drop. It probably ruined my high school

i'd watch the theatrical sometime when the movie clears from your head.... the DC is a case because all of the original movie is there and it is formally the same but it packs in a bunch of exposition. The DC is almost an instruction manual for the film which is what turned me off, freggin Richard Kelly. Anyone here... Southland Tales?

Did stu just Alanis Moresette me with a show that doesn't exist?

Post Re: The YMCA Club

God dammit. Cornell is more responsible for me being me than even Bowie. Spoonman is my anthem, his drumming in that is a perfect track. That is the fucking In the Air Tonight of the 90s. The story behind the song is perfect, a street performer in Seattle named Spoonman who plays the spoons, inspiring the rhythm of the track, a worship of the hidden language of inspiration which progresses and evolves art.

My writing, in particular, is inspired by a homeless man who I spent many hours with who could rattle off the best poetry you have ever heard freestyle off the top of his head. He offered me a particular set of keys to a particular hallway of freedoms

Cornell was a beatiful lyricist and artist. Do not bring up the Timbaland thing, he is forgiven. Rest in peace

Eh, I don't remember it very well because I didn't really like it at the time, but I haven't listened to it since I saw Casino Royale in theaters, so it's been over a decade, so I could be wrong. I liked the movie itself a lot though, and always considered it one of the best Bond movies; what do you think about it, MM?

There's 2 versions (3 technically) the harder rock one on Chris Cornell's album and the one from the movie that uses more orchestra.

All of this time he was just leeching off of my wit and formulating the PERFECT SCREENPLAY so he can go over to the motherland, land himself a Steve, and send his ol' buddy Nameless over a few yachts as a testament of his good will towards my tireless efforts to help him realize the strength his 38 inseam carries out there in the real world

They had a good, unique thing going on until this. Musicians are the worst, this is very reminiscent of why I do not associate with them - there is a line between expression and exploitation which often gets crossed and artists are too often forgiven for predatory behavior in wake of an act. When your band is called PWR BTTM, well, the whole thing is driven by sexuality and if you are going to make an act out of it there has to be a huge degree of responsibility taken. Art, of all things, cannot be shroud for this behavior (it, unfortunately, often is)

Casino Royale is top tier Bond. I slightly prefer Skyfall.

I liked Skyfall a lot too, and style-wise, it is superior to CR, but I still have to go with Royale over it due to its sharper character writing, and some of the best action scenes in the entire history of Bond. I still can't believe WatchMojo choose Skyfall for its half-lame "Movies With The Best Action Sequences" list, grumble grumble...

I think Royale has better action sequences. However I prefer Skyfall's villian and of course its better shot. The Bond films always have exceptional cinematography, though.
